Prepare to be surprised by the rich history, beautiful woodland and delicious food in southeast Friesland, the part of the region known as ‘the other Friesland’! Hop on a bike and prepare to be surprised during this 66-kilometre food route through the South Friese Wouden woods. A warm welcome awaits at six local outlets along the way.

This route is an initiative by the Frisian environmental federation, Friese Milieu Federatie, which works to protect the environment of the region, and Eetbaar Fryslân, an organisation that promotes the consumption of local sustainably grown food.
