The campsite is located on a former dairy farm, directly on the Eleven Cities Route and near the center of Bolsward. Horses and sheep are kept there, as well as Juul the pig and free-range chickens. Fresh eggs are available at reception. Guests can play pétanque, relax with coffee or tea, barbecue, or build a campfire. The communal area offers books, a billiards table, a television, a microwave, and a washing machine (for a fee). For children, there are go-karts, fishing nets, a vaulting pole, a trampoline, and games. The campsite is small and quiet, with spacious pitches, electricity, and water. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained. There is a covered bicycle shed with charging stations for e-bikes. Party tents are not permitted. Half-Hichtum is an ideal starting point for the Eleven Cities Route and various rural cycling routes. Horse lovers are also welcome: there is stabling space with separate boxes. Brochures, free cycling routes, board games, and children's toys are available in the reception area.
