The Kûfurd is a lake located on the border of Súdwest-Fryslân and De Fryske Marren. The Princess Margriet Canal runs right through the Kûfurd, making it a busy navigated lake. Therefore, it is less suitable for sailing, but that doesn't make the lake any less beautiful. Outside the shipping channel, the lake is relatively shallow (about one meter), making it particularly suitable for smaller boats.
