Owner Suzanne Kloosterman and her team create a warm, homely atmosphere in the restaurant. Chef Daryanto Jongman works with high-quality ingredients, preferably local Frisian products. He is especially proud of the honest beef from their own cattle, raised organically in nature reserve Trijntje Wiel near Broek.
The kitchen uses this beef for dishes such as bitterballen, steak tartare, entrecôte, tournedos, roast beef and burgers. The team completes the experience with carefully chosen wine and food pairings.
’t Schippershuis is also a beautiful meeting and training location in Friesland. Surrounded by Frisian nature, it is ideal for team sessions, meetings and teambuilding, with the option to combine your programme with a boat trip across the Frisian Lakes. Activities such as praam sailing, sloop treasure hunts, supping, yoga, workshops and fierljeppen can also be arranged.
