The marina is located in the heart of the beautiful Frisian lake district. From the harbour, you can reach the Heegermeer within minutes, or sail the other way through the charming village of Woudsend towards the Slotermeer. Picturesque villages such as Heeg, Lemmer, Balk, and Langweer are close by, and the historic Eleven Cities — Sloten, IJlst, Sneek, Stavoren, and Workum — are all easily accessible.

The large Frisian lakes are perfect for sailing. With the many aqueducts around Woudsend, you can enjoy long uninterrupted trips. The wide canals also make cruising with a motor yacht a real pleasure. Prefer something smaller and more peaceful? You’ll find idyllic routes for your sloop around Gaasterland or the small lakes northwest of the Heegermeer and Fluessen. Even high-speed boating and water-skiing are allowed within designated areas on the lakes.
