Harlingen
From Harlingen a beautiful trip via the seal hotspot of the Wadden Sea and we make a one-hour stop on Vlieland.
From Harlingen we sail into the Wadden Sea with our ship the Fenix. Along the way you can enjoy the many birds, beautiful views and the power of the Wadden Sea. After 45 minutes of sailing we arrive at the Engelsch hoeck, which is close to Terschelling and this is the domain of many colonies, especially gray seals, these whoppers are often curious and often come close to our boat. We keep an appropriate distance from the resting seals.
After about 15 minutes we sail on to Vlieland where we stop in the marina with a toilet building. We stay here for one hour, there are various things to do on Vlieland in an hour.
- Get coffee and pastries at De Dining restaurant.
- A walk to the forest or through the dunes (e.g. to the lookout tower).
- Take a walk on the beach.
OPTION: Pick-up from the beach:
- You will take a beach walk of approximately 1.5 km where we will pick you up from the beach at the eastern tip of Vlieland.
– This is only possible in consultation with the skipper.
– To get on board you may have to go through the water a bit to about knee height, then come on board via a ladder.
The journey from Vlieland to Harlingen takes approximately 45 minutes.
