Second World War Tour | A Guide to Leeuwarden

Leeuwarden

On this walking tour, you will discover most extraordinary stories about World War II in Leeuwarden

From April 13 you can join the local guides from A Guide to Leeuwarden for 5 Saturdays at 2:00 pm. They tell the most special stories from the Second World War. What did the people of Leeuwarden themselves notice about the war? What happened to the Jewish residents of Leeuwarden? Where was the occupier located and what special actions did the resistance carry out?

This is opposite the Oldehove (the Leaning Tower) and the regional products shop Ut Streekie. The duration of the walk is 1.5 hours and ends at Het Verzetsmuseum (the resistance museum).

Price: This is a “Free Tour.” At the end of the tour you can decide for yourself what you think the tour is worth, through a voluntary contribution!

Language: This city walk is in Dutch.
