Stoeparoute
You wouldn’t expect it, but there is a Tibetan Buddhist temple (stupa) right in the middle of the Frisian countryside, in Hantum. According to tradition, it brings luck to the region and contributes to world peace. This lucky charm is a nice contrast with the expansive views across the Wadden Sea and the countryside with the dikes through which the route leads.
