So he likes to go on adventures in Tytsjerksteradiel. He knows lots of wonderful facts about water and will tell you exciting stories about the region. Join him on a bike ride through the villages of Gytsjerk, Mûnein, Feanwâldsterwâl, Hurdegaryp, Ryptsjerk and Tytsjerk and the wetland landscape of the It Bûtenfjild nature reserve.

Eleven Cities Monument Tegeltjesbrug Gytsjerk
Across the river De Murk near Gytsjerk you will find the famous Tegeltjesbrug, the Eleven Cities Monument of Friesland.
De Leiker
The sculpture De Leiker in the Frisian village of Ryptsjerk. It was made in 1986 by Frans Ram from Hogebeintum. The artwork symbolises the work of the “leiker”: a dredger who scooped up "klyn" (peat) from the bottoms of the waterways around Ryptsjerk.
