Round of Pools Heeg | SUP and Canoe route

With this SUP route, you paddle over the pools around the watersports village of Heeg. Enjoy the tranquility on these small-scale pools. Paddle through mini lakes and canals surrounded by reed beds. Along the shores, you may encounter curious cows and sheep.

Duration of the boating route
This route is a total of 7.7 kilometers long. As a beginner on a SUP, you paddle about 3 kilometers per hour, so you'll spend about 2.5 hours on this route.

Bridges in Friesland
You will encounter some bridges on this route. With a SUP or canoe, you can easily paddle under them. If there's any issue with a bridge or culvert, you can step off and carry your equipment. A large part of this route goes over a waterway in category F, suitable for boats with a draft of up to 0.8 m. The section over the Idzegaaster Poel is a waterway in category DM, where boats with a draft of 1.3 m. and a height of 2.3 m. can also navigate. This route is suitable for traveling with an (electric) sloop.
