Landal Waterpark Oudehaske is one of those places where heading out is just as tempting as staying put by the water. It’s located between Heerenveen and Joure, right on the Nannewiid — a clear, motor-free lake that’s perfect for getting out on the water. The lodges sit along the shoreline, each with its own terrace and often extras like a sauna, outdoor shower or swim ladder. Small-scale, spacious and surrounded by nature — an easy, relaxed starting point for any day.
There’s plenty to do in and around the park. Grab a paddleboard, take a swim or cast a fishing line right outside your lodge. Restaurant By Aalzen is next door, and Joure and Heerenveen are only a short drive away. Heerenveen is known for its sports culture, from the Abe Lenstra Stadium to the iconic Thialf ice arena. The wider area is great for walking, cycling and discovering the Frisian lakes.
