Het Wilde Noorden is an initiative by Benny Blisto and artist Claudy Jongstra. Together, they host special Farm to Tablemulti-course dinners at LOADS, located in the middle of the Frisian meadows where Studio Claudy Jongstra is based.
Please note: this dinner takes place in Friesland.
In the atmospheric space — the atelier — meals are prepared using the finest seasonal, biodynamic ingredients from passionate local farmers, hunters, fishers, and gardeners. Each dinner features guest speakers whose products are used in the dishes, complemented by herbs and vegetables from the biodynamic garden of Jongstra and her partner, gardener Claudia Busson.
For this edition, Claudy will share insights into the vision and mission behind her work, as well as the upcoming 30th anniversary of the studio. Claudia Busson will shed light on the process of making the traditional Dutch delicacy stroop(syrup) — a craft now practiced by only a handful of traditional syrup makers in the Netherlands.
Finally, Lars Kroon, a Dutch singer-songwriter, will perform. He draws on traditional folk and country influences to frame songs about the joys and shortcomings of human nature.
