Historical and cultural cycling tour through the former municipality of Menaldumadeel

This cycling route is fully signposted with the ‘Cultuurhistorische Fietsroute Menaldumadeel’ logo.Â
Along the way you will come across information panels that explain the history of the region. The route starts and ends at Leeuwarden railway station. You set off from the capital of Friesland and cycle through the villages of Marsum, Ingelum, Bitgum, Berltsum, Wier, Slappeterp, Menaam, Dronrijp and Ritsumasyl.
