Sneekermeer View | Walking Route

(14 km)

Walking route from Terherne along the shores of the Sneekermeer and through small Frisian villages.4

From Terherne, also known as the Kameleon village, you walk through the village and across the Slechte Dijk. Here you have a beautiful view of the Sneekermeer [Snitsermar]. The route also takes you past the Sâltpoel lake.

Following the shores of the lakes, you’ll arrive in the village of Goingarijp, where you’ll pass a traditional klokkenstoel – a wooden bell tower with one or more bells.

Across the meadows, the route continues to Terkaple before looping back to Terherne.
